Bill Holloway
Founder/Principal Designer
A native of Laurel, Mississippi, Bill Holloway is a distinguished home designer and placemaker known for creating timeless residences rooted in Southern architectural traditions and thoughtful land planning. A 2006 graduate of Mississippi State University's College of Architecture, Art, and Design, Bill was honored with the prestigious Jurist Award for design excellence during his senior year. He also received a scholarship from Marvin Windows and Doors to attend Ghost Laboratory 8, an intensive two-week design-build workshop in Upper Kingsburg, Nova Scotia.
Following graduation, Bill joined Robert A.M. Stern Architects in New York City, where he worked under a team of architects and designers on the development of a new student center for Harvard Law School. In 2009, he returned to his hometown of Laurel and founded Holloway Home Design, a residential design practice dedicated to creating homes that reflect both the character of their setting and the personality of their owners.
In 2011, Bill became Lead Designer for Big Bay Lake, a 1,000-acre private lake community in South Mississippi, where he continues to play an active role in shaping the community's architectural vision. Four years later, he co-founded Lake and Land Studio, where he spent more than a decade leading the design of lake homes, boathouses, and country retreats throughout the South. During his tenure with the firm, Bill also served as a ghost designer for HGTV's hit show Home Town, contributing to the successful design of more than 100 featured projects seen on tv by millions of viewers worldwide.
In 2023, Bill co-designed the Southern Living Idea House in Leiper's Fork, Tennessee, a nationally recognized showcase of Southern residential design. He has also collaborated with The Villages, the nation's largest retirement community, helping reimagine existing home collections and design new homes for Middleton, a master-planned community created for young families.
In 2026, Bill launched Bill Holloway Design, LLC, a boutique residential design firm based in Laurel, Mississippi. Through the firm, he works closely with clients to create legacy homes tailored to each family's vision, property, and lifestyle. His work is characterized by a deep appreciation for regional architecture, livable design, and homes that feel both enduring and deeply personal.
Bill lives in Laurel's historic downtown district with his wife, Jody, and their daughter, Ada. He is an active member of First Baptist Church Laurel, where he serves as a keyboardist, church clerk, and deacon. He also serves on the Board of St. John's Day School, reflecting his commitment to investing in the community he proudly calls home.
Justin Williams
Designer
Justin is a native of Slidell, Louisiana, and a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi's Architectural Technology program. Following graduation, he gained valuable experience working for a commercial architecture firm in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, where he developed a strong technical foundation in design and construction documentation.
In 2020, Justin joined Lake and Land Studio, where he worked alongside Bill Holloway on a wide range of custom homes, lake retreats, and residential projects throughout the South. Sharing a passion for timeless residential architecture and thoughtful design, Bill and Justin collaborated closely to help clients transform their vision into homes tailored to the way they live.
In 2026, Justin joined Bill Holloway Design, bringing with him years of experience in residential design, construction documentation, and client-focused service. He is committed to creating homes that are both beautiful and highly functional, with careful attention to detail throughout the design process.
Justin lives in Oak Grove, Mississippi, with his wife, Cori, and their sons, Evan and Alex. He is an active member of St. Fabian Catholic Church in Hattiesburg.
Jody Holloway
Financial Manager
Jody grew up in Purvis, Mississippi and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi, where she earned a degree in Finance. She brings over 20 years of banking experience, with a focus on commercial credit analysis and review. Jody is an active member of the Junior Auxiliary of Laurel and has served on its Executive Board as Treasurer. She enjoys decorating, floral arranging, and creating charcuterie boards in her spare time. Jody is married to Bill, and they live in Laurel, Mississippi, with their daughter, Ada.
